Morris Arboretum Suite LIVE

Hello readers!

It's been quite a busy spring semester. I can't believe I am almost a senior in college, that is pretty insane haha. Anyway, I have a few exciting updates from the past couple weeks.

1) I will be going to Kenya this summer as a part of a Penn Study Abroad program. I will be making documentary shorts with refugees in the Kakuma Refugee Camp. It should be a truly eye-opening experience.

2) I performed my Morris Arboretum Suite and my "St. Catherine's Hill" composition live at the Morris Arboretum on April 1st. We got a very nice crowd, and everyone loved both the pieces. I had the pleasure of recruiting 7 brilliant musicians (2 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos and a bass) and I played piano and conducted. It was a wonderful experience, and I believe that there will be a repeat performance sometime next year.

3) I am currently working on three composing projects: a marketing commercial, an RPG video game and a sci-fi short film.

4) "ei: emotional intelligence" currently has over 900,000 views on Youtube, and I have been getting requests for sheet music (which is being made currently) and for it to be put onto Spotify or Apple Music (which I am currently figuring out). That short film also won first place at the Penn Student Film Festival. Another film that I scored entitled "The Seagull" got third place!

Anyway, that is the update for right now. "ei" will be playing in a festival in Washington state at the end of this month. I believe that "The Seagull" will also be making it around the award's circuit. Will be sure to update!

Yours Musically,

Nicholas Escobar
