Fall Updates!
So I haven't posted a blog entry in a while because I have been really busy over the last 6 months. Here is a quick recap of what I have been up to:
1) This summer I interned at Marc Platt Productions at Universal Studios which was so amazing! Highlights included attending an Emmy event for "Grease Live!", seeing a scoring session for "La La Land" at the Barbara Streisand Scoring Stage at Sony, and reading some fantastic screenplays. I met some famous people in the industry like Marc Platt, Orlando Bloom, Stephen Daldry, Stephen Swartz, Damien Chazelle and Justin Hurwitz. It was a truly fantastic summer.
2) The Creative Expressions Tour at the Morris Arboretum went live in late September. Now my Morris Arboretum Suite can be heard by visitors as they walk around the arboretum which is fantastic! The online self-guided tour is at this link.
3) Professor Peter Decherney's online course "Hollywood: History, Industry, Art" went live TODAY! It was a true pleasure to write the musical score for his course. In all I wrote around 50 minutes of music which is the most I have written for a single project. The online course is FREE and it can be found at this link.
4) I am currently in LONDON for the fall semester, studying abroad at King's College London. I am having an absolutely blast. A music-related thing I did recently was see the London Symphony Orchestra live which was mind-blowing.
That's all for right now! I will try to be more on top of blog posts in the future. Thanks for reading!
Yours Musically,
Nicholas Escobar
